The
Indian Banker is the official magazine of the Indian Banks'
Association (IBA), and has been in publication for over 30
years. The magazine has a print-run of 56,000 copies per month.
The Indian Banker is a source of information for practicing
bankers all over the country, both in terms of statistical
information, as well as articles on subjects that are of current
relevance to the banking industry. The magazine has recently
being given a facelift, with the first new-look issue being
launched in June 2007. The design, content, subscriptions
and media sales has been totally outsourced to a professional
publishing firm, Finsight Media (www.finsight-media.com),
which is well-experienced in publishing
in the banking domain.
IBA was formed on the September
26, 1946. Currently, IBA has 161 members comprising of public
sector banks, private sector banks, foreign banks having offices
in India, urban co-operative banks, developmental financial
institutions, federations, merchant banks, mutual funds, and
